Welcome

The TRT of Luzerne County is comprised of several area departments committed to working together to provide necessary technical rescue skills and equipment primarily to the communities of Avoca, Duryea, Kingston, Mt Top, Nanticoke, Plains and West Hazleton.

The departments involved long ago recognized the need to develop resources and capabilities to respond to complex incidents such as High Angle Rope Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue and Structural Collapse type incidents. While the departments focus primarily on thier home communities, they are a resource that can be used anywhere within the county.

Over the next few weeks, this site will have new topics and features added. We hope to utilize this site as a resource that member departments will find useful as well as other county emergency response agencies. Besides our calendar of events, the site will include contact information as well as presentation describing our capabilities, locations, dispatch procedures and other helpful information.
